HOW TO PLAY CART SURFER

Cart Surfer can only be played at the mine which is one
of the "secret" areas in Club Penguin.
To get there, click on the map in the bottom of any screen and the map will show as in our picture on the left. You now need to click on the Mine which is shown by the red circle on the map. |

The picture shows the mine on the left. The
only interesting thing you can do at the mine is play cart Surfer. To go into the mine (you can't just walk in), hover your mouse around the entrance to the mine and click it. You will then be magically transported to the inside of the mine. |

If you now hover your mouse just in front
of the two carts another cart will appear where the red circle is in the
picture. Click on the new cart. |

A message will appear which asks you "Would
you like to go Cart Surfing".
Hit the Yes button to continue or the No button if you don't want play Cart Surfer. |

The next screen to appear is on the left.
If this is your first go on Cart Surfer then click the instructions button to see how to play the game. But if you have played before then just click the Play button. The second you click Play the game will begin so be sure to be ready! |

To earn points you need to do tricks and
these are done by tapping the up, down and sideways buttons on your
keyboard. As you play you will see that if you do the same trick more than once at a time you will only earn half the points after the second trick. So it's best to do different tricks and that way you will earn more points. The easy way to earn points is to tap the down key then the up key then the down key and so on. That way you will earn 80 points each time. |

One of the skills to be learnt in Cart
Surfer is how to round the bends without falling over. You need to lean
into each bend by pressing the left or right buttons. Start leaning into the bend when you get near it. Keep holding the button down as you go round the bend. Immediately, or just before, the bend finishes, let go of the button to be upright again. If you fall over you will need to press the spacebar to continue the game. |

When you start the game you have three
lives and these are shown in the left hand picture by three small carts
in the top left of the screen. Each time you fall over you will loose
a life (and a cart will disappear) until you have no carts and you fall
over again. The game will then end and you will have earned points. Each
time you earn points they are shown on the screen as in the red box on
the picture. |
